Recommendations
Recommendations are predefined texts for protocols. They let technicians quickly add standard recommendations in the Recommendations section.
Fields

Scope
Recommendations can be:
- Global - shown for all work types when no scope is set
- Limited to a work type - shown only for selected work types
- Limited to a subtype - shown only for selected work subtypes
- Limited to a pest - shown only when the protocol contains the selected pest
If you fill in several scope groups, the recommendation is shown only when the protocol matches the configured conditions. Leaving a group empty means that group does not limit the recommendation.
The table shows assigned work types, subtypes, and pests in the Scope column.

Use in the Form
When creating a protocol in Recommendations:
- A list of available recommendations is shown and filtered by the selected work type or subtype.
- Select one or more recommendations.
- Recommendations appear in the protocol and in the resulting PDF, including images.
Expanding Rows
In the table, click the arrow to expand a row and view:
- full recommendation text
- attached image, if available
The Expand/Collapse all button in the top-right corner applies the action to all rows.
System and Custom Recommendations
Recommendations can be:
- System - supplied by Deratix, content is read-only
- Custom - created by your organization and fully editable
You can disable a system recommendation if you do not want it offered in the protocol form. If you need to change its text, use Duplicate as custom and edit the new copy.
In the list, you can filter recommendations by system or custom origin.
Editing a Recommendation
Click the ✏️ icon in the item row to edit an existing recommendation. A dialog opens with the current values.
In the dialog, you can update:
- Name of the recommendation
- Content - detailed recommendation text
- Image - upload or change an illustrative image
- Scope - choose which work types, work subtypes, and pests the recommendation is available for
Save changes with Save.
Tips
Tip: Set recommendation scope so only relevant recommendations are shown for each work type.
Tip: Use images to illustrate problems or solutions. Visual communication is often clearer for customers.
Tip: Write recommendations in customer-friendly language, not internal jargon.
