Work subtypes
Work subtypes provide more detailed classification. They become available in the protocol form after selecting the main work type.
Fields
| Field | Description | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Name of the subtype | Yes |
| Default for new protocols | Whether the subtype is prefilled when a new protocol is created | No |
Default Work Subtype
If you mark a subtype as default, Deratix preselects it in a new protocol, but only when it belongs to the selected work type.
If several default subtypes match selected work types, they are prefilled together. The technician can adjust the selection before submitting the protocol.
Examples
- Preventive inspection - regular inspection without intervention
- Intervention - active problem solving
- Monitoring - situation monitoring
- Consulting - consultation and recommendations
- Installation - installation of new devices
- Service - maintenance of existing devices
Use in the Form
When creating a protocol in Work details:
- First select the work type.
- Then select a subtype from the available options.
- The subtype appears in the protocol and in the resulting PDF.
Permissions
Work subtypes use the same permission as work types. If you can edit work types, you can edit subtypes too.
Editing a Work Subtype
Click the ✏️ icon in the item row to edit an existing subtype. A dialog opens with the current values.
In the dialog, update the subtype name, enable or disable prefill for new protocols, and save changes with Save.
Tips
Tip: Subtypes should be reusable across several work types. For example, “Preventive inspection” can apply to rodent control and insect control.
