Follow-up visits and inspections
For some interventions, you already know during the work that you will have to come back. It may be a follow-up visit, an inspection after applying a product, or a planned visit shortly afterwards. In Deratix, you set up this next step directly in the protocol.
Where the follow-up date is set
You find the dates in the protocol form, in the Additional information section:
| Field | What you set |
|---|---|
| Next service date | Date and time of the next service visit |
| Next inspection date | Date and time of the inspection visit |
For both fields you can pick a quick option: 24 h, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days; choosing None removes the date. If you need an exact date, pick a custom date and time.
If you remove the date, the toggle for creating a follow-up protocol switches off.
When a follow-up protocol is created
The date alone does not have to create a new protocol. If you want Deratix to prepare a new work record after sending, turn on:
- Create a scheduled follow-up visit,
- or Create a scheduled follow-up inspection.
The follow-up protocol is created only after the original protocol is sent. If the original protocol stays in draft or under review, the next protocol is not created yet.
What is carried over to the new protocol
Deratix prepares a new draft protocol with the follow-up visit or inspection date. It carries over mainly the client, the site, the work type, the duration based on the original protocol, and the assigned technician.
Data from the actual work is not copied as a finished result. Materials, pests, photos, recommendations, and signatures are filled in by the technician at the new visit, according to the actual situation.
How to recognize related protocols
The protocol detail shows a link to the parent or follow-up protocol. The timeline also records an event that a follow-up protocol was created.
This helps you trace back why the next visit exists and which original intervention it belongs to.
How to work with it in the team plan
A follow-up protocol is a draft protocol with a future date, so it also appears in the protocol calendar. The office can move it, change the technician, or keep it ready for the originally chosen date.
If synchronization with Google Calendar is enabled, such a planned protocol can also reach the company or technician Google calendar, according to the company rules.
